Ebeco’s frost protection secures Lyko’s new mega warehouse!

Lyko’s central warehouse has been expanded in several stages. The first section was completed in 2019, and in 2025 a major extension was finalized. Today, the facility covers a total of 37 000 m², including warehouse space, office and stores. Since the older part of the building had previously suffered from burst downpipes and gutters caused by frost, the decision was made to secure both the existing and newly built sections with frost protection from Ebeco, an investment that keeps the property well-prepared for the cold winters in Dalarna.

The installation was carried out by two electricians from Lasses El in Malung and Ax Elteknik. At Lasses El, they have worked with Ebeco’s products for several years, says Martin Ingvarsson, CEO and site manager:

During seven weeks in the autumn of 2025, approximately 2 300 meters of heating cable were installed on the building. It was a substantial installation, and Dennis Franzén says:

This is an excellent example of how roof-snow-smelting should be done.

At the end of 2025, the installation was completed, and Lyko’s central warehouse is equipped with frost protection that ensures proper drainage even during the coldest winter months.
