About personal data
On this page you can read about how we have adapted our management and processing of personal data to ensure compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), which took effect 25 May 2018.
The purpose of our policy is to ensure that Ebeco processes personal data in accordance the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). The policy encompasses all processing where personal data is being dealt with.
The personal data we process
It may arise that Ebeco AB processes the following personal data:
- Telephone number
- E-mail address
- User name
- IP address
In general, the personal data that you yourself have chosen to provide, for example via e-mail contact, registration of the guarantee or the use of our Garantera web-based service.
Data such as your device ID (MAC address) and network name will also be processed when using the Ebeco Connect app.
We use personal data in order to be able to maintain business relationships, provide you access to our web-based services, provide and manage guarantees for our products, plus to communicate with you.
Collection, processing, and retention of personal data
Only individuals whose work is dependent upon access to the personal data have access to it. Personal data is not shared informally or forwarded on to any external party not affiliated with us to in order support our IT systems.
Ebeco AB does not store the personal data longer than is legally permissible or reasonable for the purpose it has been obtained, or until someone manually deletes themselves from our services, registry or newsletter list.
Your personal data is protected from unauthorised persons gaining access, as well as against accidental deletion, by means of our IT security systems. We regularly review our systems and ensure that your information has adequate protection.
You are entitled to know what personal data we have and are processing about you, and may request a copy. You also have the right to have incorrect information corrected, and in certain instances, you may also request that data concerning you be deleted. Please note that in some instances there are laws take precedence over the GDPR, which means that in some cases, the deletion of personal data may not be possible.
A cookie is a small text file that websites you visit ask to save on your computer. Cookies are used on www.ebeco.se to give visitors access to various functions. It is possible to use the information in a cookie to follow a user's surfing.
There are two types of cookie. One type saves a file on your computer for a long time. It is used for example for functions that tell you what is new since you last visited the particular website. The other type is called a session cookie. This cookie is saved in your computer's memory during the time you are on a particular website, to keep track of which language you have selected, for example. Session cookies are not saved on your computer for a long time, but disappear when you leave the website.
Cookies are completely harmless and are used on most modern websites.
